Admission form is annexed with the prospectus. It must be filled in
properly and submitted to the college office duty completed in all respects.
The following documents/testimonial/Educational certificates (Duly attested by
a Gazetted Officer) should be attached to the admission form. Incomplete forms
will not be entertained at any cost.

BS (4-YEAR) PROGRAMME
Economics,
English, Chemistry, Geography, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Sciences and
Zoology
By the grace of God Almighty, Govt. Postgraduate College Gojra has taken
another giant leap by introducing BS (4-Year) Semester System Programme in the
abovementioned subjects from 2016 as desired and directed by Higher Education
Department, Government of the Punjab. This programme will replace B.Sc. and
ongoing M.A./M.Sc. programmes gradually. However, the admissions to
postgraduate classes in the respective subjects will continue till 2019. The
students of F.A./F.Sc. will be able to enhance their higher education at their
doorsteps. The rules and regulations of the University will be followed. The
students seeking admission to these programmes should consult the respective
heads of the department for further guidance.
FEE STRUCTURE FOR F.A / F.Sc, B.S. (4 Year Programmes), M.A. /
M.Sc.
The
college dues, Board and university fees will be charged as per rules of Board/University
according to the rates decided by the respective authority
Admission Procedure and General Rules and Regulations
Usually Admissions are open to Intermediate Part-1 in the months of
August/ September and BS/Masters classes in the months of September/October/
every year after the declaration of the Matriculation and Intermediate results
by the Education Boards respectively. The aspirant candidates must follow the
admission schedule issued by BISE Faisalabad and University of the Punjab.
After submitting the application for admission, it is mandatory for the candidates
to appear before the College Admission Committee according to the given
schedule for Interview. The candidates are required to bring all their original
documents at the time of Interview. After the recommendation of the Admission
Committee, the candidate has to deposit the college dues within a given time
schedule. If s/he fails to do so in time, his/her admission stands null and
void. Admissions are completed purely on merit in accordance with the admission
policy of the Government. However, the college has the right to refuse
admission to any candidate if s/he fails to fulfil the basic criteria for
admission or shows any signs of indiscipline or misbehaviour. The college
announces the dates of admission to 14 year and BS/Masters classes respectively
according to the instructions of the Board of Intermediate & Secondary
Education, Faisalabad, G.C University, Faisalabad and University of the Punjab,
Lahore. The Admission remains continued on merit within the given time
schedule. The students must keep in mind the following general rules while
applying for admission to their respective classes. However, it is to be noted
that these rules may change according to the admission policy of the
government.

The application for
admission can only be ventured on the admission form of this college duly
signed by the applicant and his/her father/guardian.
2.
The upper age limit
for admission is :- 14 Year = 18 years B.S/M.A/M.Sc. = 22 years

The candidates who
passed their examination from the Board other than BISE, Faisalabad will have
to provide original NOC from the Board concerned at the time of admission.
4.
Fresh candidates are
always preferred for admission. However, the Board's rules and regulations will
be followed in this connection for the candidates who passed their examination
in the previous years.
5.
The Candidates
seeking admission to different categories of Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering,
General Science, Arts and I.C.S should apply on a separate admission form for
each category.
6.
The
Candidates/Applicants will present their original documents before the
admission committee at the time of their interviews.
7.
After the
recommendation of the admission committee, the Principal will finalize their
admissions. Then the students will have to pay the college dues within the
given schedule, otherwise, their admission will be cancelled.
Pre-Admission Preparatory Classes
Govt. Postgraduate College Gojra offers a unique set of Preparatory
Classes for INTERMEDIATE prospective students in shape of FREE SUMMER CAMP. The
students waiting for their results are registered and regularly provided full
teaching facilities on daily basis till their regular admissions. It is also
noteworthy that the college not only provides these aspirants a window of
opportunity but helps them in preparation of their syllabus before the regular
admission.
ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS
FOR MASTER CLASSES
Geography,
Islamiat, Mathematic, Urdu & Zoology
Admission on competitive basis is opened for Male and Female students
from all parts of Pakistan. Candidates from other than Punjab University will
attach N.O.C from previous University with the application. Admissions are
completed according to Govt. policy based on merit. GPC Gojra is affiliated
with University of the Punjab Lahore and G.C University, Faisalabad. for its
seven disciplines at postgraduate level. Hence all the rules and regulations of
the University are followed at the time of admission. However, admission to
these disciplines is open to all candidates from all over Pakistan if they
fulfill the basic criteria for admission.
Admission Committees of the Departments:
The admission committees of the concerned departments are responsible
for making arrangements for admission, Entry tests, and interviews of the
candidates. The consolidated merit lists are displayed on the notice boards of
the departments.
Basic
Criteria for Admission to M.A./ M.Sc. classes
1. The candidate/ applicant must have passed B.A. / B.Sc./BS or
equivalent examination from any HEC recognized university with at least 2"
division..
2. Fresh candidates are preferred. However, the applicants having passed
their examination in the previous two years are also eligible to apply.
3. The maximum age limit is 26. However, exceptional cases of age
relaxation can also be considered with the permission of the V.C. Attach age relaxation
certificate by the principal with the application if candidate is over age.
4. For admission in M.Sc. Mathematics, it is compulsory that candidate
has passed B.A/ B.Sc. examination with Mathematics A-Course and Mathematics
B-Course.
5. The admission in the college will be cancelled if the candidate takes
admission in any other Institution at the same time.
6. If a candidate fails to deposit college dues/ fees after his
selection for admission, the next candidate in the merit list automatically
qualifies for admission.
7. Age Relaxation: As per notification No. S.O. (A 1) 7 11 / 95,
Dated: 27-10-2003, issued by the Education Department, Government of the Punjab,
regarding age relaxation, the rules of the University of the Punjab will
prevail for registration in B.A. / M.A. etc examinations. The age limit for
admission in M.A. / M.Sc. is 26 Years. However, in hardship case, the Vice
Chancellor may relax age limit upto one year only. Therefore, this age limit
may be observed strictly and the case of age relaxation upto one year only may
be forwarded to the Registration Branch for approval of the Vice Chancellor.
9. According
to the Notification No. SO (A 1) 7 10 / 97, Dated: 05-10-2000 of Higher
Education Department, government of the Punjab, that the admission of students
of previous sessions can be made by allowing male students upto the previous 2
years / sessions and female students up to the previous 5 years / sessions.
